Grade 9 Beginner Instrumental
The grade 9 beginner class is appropriate for students who have never taken instrumental music before. Students will be introduced to a new instrument and will have the opportunity to develop on the instrument throughout the semester. Students will also learn the basics of music theory and listen to diffent styles of music. In music history, students will be introduced to the 4 major historical eras.
Students in grade 9 beginner instrumental do not normally perform in the Intermediate Band. If students choose to move to the grade 10 class, they will be expected to play in the Intermediate Band in that year.
